Merge PDF files
Join as many PDFs as you like into a single document, then reorder, rotate or drop any page before you export.
Free · no sign-up · your file never leaves your device
Merging is the job people reach for a PDF tool most often: stitching a cover letter onto a CV, gathering scanned receipts into one claim, or assembling chapters into a single hand-in. It is also the job most likely to involve documents you would rather not hand to a stranger.
PeppyPDF combines them without sending anything anywhere, and hands you the joined document in the editor rather than straight to your downloads folder — so the page order you only notice is wrong once the files are side by side is still fixable.
How to merge PDF files
Three steps, and nothing to install.
Open every file
Drag all the PDFs you want to combine onto the page at once, or add them one at a time with the Add file button. They appear immediately as a single continuous document.
Arrange the order
Drag page thumbnails in the left sidebar to move anything anywhere. To reorder whole files rather than individual pages, open Tools → Merge PDFs and move each file up or down.
Export the result
Press Export PDF. The combined file is written on your device and downloads straight to your Downloads folder.
What makes this one different
Instant, even on big files
Combining runs at the speed of your machine rather than your connection, so a hundred-page assembly is ready in about as long as it takes to click.
See it before you commit
Most merge tools ask you to guess at the result. Here every page is a thumbnail you can drag, rotate or delete first, so you export the document you actually meant.
Nothing is re-encoded
Pages are copied across as they are. Text stays selectable and searchable, images keep their original resolution, and file size stays proportionate.
Keep editing afterwards
The merged document stays open in the editor, so you can add page numbers, a watermark or a signature before exporting.
Questions
The things people ask most about this tool.
How many PDFs can I merge at once?
There is no fixed limit. Because merging happens on your device, the practical ceiling is your available memory — combining several hundred pages is routine on an ordinary laptop.
Will merging reduce the quality of my PDFs?
No. Pages are copied without re-compression, so text remains sharp and selectable and images are untouched.
Can I merge PDFs on my phone?
Yes. PeppyPDF runs in any modern mobile browser, and the page thumbnails are touch friendly for reordering.
Can I merge only some pages from each file?
Yes. Open all the files, delete the pages you do not want from the sidebar, then export. You can also extract a page range to a separate document first.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No, and you can prove it: disconnect from the internet once the page has loaded and every tool keeps working, because there is no server involved.
