Word to PDF is usually the last step before sending something important: a CV to an employer, an invoice to a client, a letter that must not be edited in transit. It is also, awkwardly, the step where people most often upload a document containing their address and phone number to a free website.

Which Word formats are supported?

Modern .docx files. Legacy .doc files should be saved as .docx first, which Word and LibreOffice both do from Save As.

Will my document look exactly the same?

Text, headings, lists and simple tables carry over faithfully. Complex layouts — multi-column pages, floating images, elaborate table styling — are simplified.

Can I convert several documents at once?

Convert them one at a time, then use Merge to combine the resulting PDFs into a single file.

Are images in my Word file included?

Embedded images are not carried across in the current version. If your document depends on them, print to PDF from Word and open that file here to edit it.

Is the output a standard PDF?

Yes — a normal PDF that opens in any reader, and that you can then compress, protect or sign here.
